Now with air-conditioning! They also have HOMEMADE pastries (uhhmmmm Apple Pie!), sandwiches, bagles & coffees. 7am-2am daily. Hi to Jamie, Daniel, Rogelio & the gang (my 2nd home when I'm in town!) Any one that brings down a carton of Canadian cigarettes (you can often find them at the Duty Free shop - Players, Rothmans, Dumaurier - around $16-$18 US$) will be reimbursed + get 1 hour FREE computer/net time for each carton (customs allows you to bring 2 cartons down) Boana S.A. de C.V. One could say I'm not that popular with many realtors down there as they've actually told my clients that I'm "stealing biz" from them (me-who won the highest award in the gay travel industry for marketing & tourism development, who travels around the US/Canada teaching travel agents how to sell Vallarta, Villa Renting, Gay Vallarta & who's an international travel writer - is taking biz away from them drinking margaritas on the beach all day - amusing yet sad - but that's part of the "insecure" mentality sometimes found in tropical destinations - lots of people with nothing but bad things to say about each other- I don't play that game!). Beach - Located South of the Rio Cuale at the southern end of Muertos Beach. THE place to be is the "GREEN CHAIRS" (literally painted green!
Just south of/next to the Blue Chairs) & in front of Looney Tunes - 2-for-1 drinks all day/all week-15 pesos & 3-for-1 drinks at 5pm+ & a REALLY GOOD (& cheap!!) RESTAURANT also!! 40-50p.
"The" Area - The main area for the most gay-friendly things is what's called everything from Playa del Sol, South of Rio Cuale, Old Town, Playa los Muertos Beach, my favorite - "SouthSide" & the latest - "Zona Romantica" (it ain't what I'd call "romantic" but maybe I'm just too romantic for my own good!)! SouthSide is in the downtown of the Old Town area so it's definitely more active hence noisier but you have a good balance between tourists & locals which I feel is important when going out of a country - especially since the locals are soooo wonderful & the food is soooo good!!!! Doin' It Right (800-936-3646 941-486-0505 Vicki@DoinItRight.com) has LOTS of gay/adult-friendly & gay-owned beachfront condos in this area & just 10 minutes away in Conchas Chinas, Gringo Gulch, Garza Blanca & further south into the magical rainforesty areas (only a $1.50-$4 taxi ride away!).

AA+ - Unfortunately I've seen people go off the wagon in Vallarta that had been on for MANY years as socializing can be a big push. Hair Stylist - During Peak Season Boana's has their own hair stylist on the premesis; stylist Mark who did a GREAT job on my hair & only $7+ men, $12+ females. I got my hair dyed & cut for $30!!
Gifts - Many people like to bring gifts down to give to new friends, maids, hosts, etc. & they're really appreciated. Hosts have said they'd like: take them out to their/your favorite or a new restaurant, a nice bottle of wine (you can bring up to 3 liters), perfume/cologne, nice decorative or aromatherapy candles & candle sticks, a picture of you from your vacation (with them even better! All sizes welcome), t-shirts/hats with logos (cities/sports teams), name brand/label clothes, serving trays/bowels, nice wine glasses, latest cds/tapes (especially relaxing music), good feather pillows (I only find hard foams one's in Vallarta), christmas ornaments, watches. ANYTHING/EVERYTHING is appreciated!!!

Condoms/HIV Drugs/Things - Important Information! HIV is REALLY bad in Vallarta (especially for women & children) though they're JUST starting to deal with it. If you have any contacts for condom donations or know someone that no longer needs HIV drugs/things (canes, crutches, testing equip, hats+) they're desperately needed so either bring them & share them with Dr. Arturo Flores (47876 @ home/47627-phone-fax/49751 xt. 301 @ IMSS Hospital. He makes housecalls & works with PWA) or the new AIDS organization: Dr. Manny Aldana with the Org. Vallarta Contra el S.I.D.A. A.C., Calle Hidalgo #533, Col. Centro (22414). A community based organization that provides free HIV medical assistance to ANYONE who could use it. Also: free referrals for dental, opthalmalogical & plastic surgery if needed, medication according to availability of medication, HIV/AIDS prevention literature & they can REALLY use your donations ($$, drugs, information in Spanish++). They're there for you for any medical emergency while in Vallarta.
