PLEASE remember that first & foremost Vallarta is a Latin, conservative, Catholic village!! You are in THEIR home!!! PLEASE respect THEIR customs. If you have any prejudices - leave them at the border or don't come (DEFINITELY don't call Doin It Right for reservations no how much $$ you want to spend as we'll tell you "you're on your own!" cause if you're rude to us how will you treat the locals) - these are some wonderful people! Treat everyone the way you want to be treated & you will be treated as royalty as the Mexican people are very warm & hospitable & many are some of the hardest workers I've ever met!! PLEASE do NOT check your values at the door/airport & be respectful of THEIR culture!!! (you wouldn't go hand-in-hand in most of San Fracisco or your own home town now would you??).

The word "Alternative" in Mexico usually is an discrete way of saying "GAY"!
