We're literally in the heart of ALL the gringo conveniences you may not be ready to give up yet.   We're set back 100 meters from THE MAIN ROAD (Calle Vieja)   leading into San Jose or West into Santa Ana   -   just outside the grounds of the finca you have LOTS of taxis (though we have our favs we can connect you with including some English Speaking ones), buses leading right in to San Jose, and we're within 3 minutes of the Pista (highway).   Head out and within a 10 minute walk either way you have over 20 restaurants (though MANY deliver!   Goddess forbid - we even have Burger King just 5 blocks away and KFC and McDonalds about 12 blocks),   shopping (a big mall is 7 minutes by taxi for that fix), gyms, lots of medical and dental professionals with ultra modern equipment (at prices WAYYYYY cheaper than in the States) & the BEST hospital in Costas Rica (CIMA - a U.S.-owned facility just 3 min. by taxi from us [depending on the traffic]).  

The Fountains Guesthouse is also perfect to use as your base while doing day trips as we're within 1-2 hours of MANY of the activities you're coming to Costa Rica to see/experience!  We're also good for your first & last night stays & even better if you're seeking your own "retreat" or desire to join in one of the retreats happening at the property.

FREE BREAKFAST is a healthy Tropical Continental Buffet (this way YOU get to pick what you desire & how much!!) with lots of fresh fruit (for a fruit bowl and/or smoothie), granola (add milk and call it cereal), yogurt, orange juice, Costa Rican coffee or a variety of teas to choose from.   It's put out from 8-10am but if you're up earlier - help yourself!   (if you'd like a fuller breakfast - across the street you have a place where Mon.-Fri. you can purchase a "Tico-style" breakfast with eggs, rice and beans [pico de gallo] and toast for around $2 plus 2 other restaurants for all sorts of gringo-style breakfasts [though at gringo prices.   Options!!].   We're happy to go and pick it up for you if you'd like).

FREE GOODIES   -   Throughout the day help yourself to Green Tea Ice Tea or a variety of hot teas and Filtered Water.   In the afternoon - make yourself a Smoothie or enjoy a Natural Fresh Fruit Popsicle and sometimes we have other tasty treats!

FREE WiFi/Wireless Internet connection so bring your laptop or you can use our Mac on the patio for up to 10 minutes a day.

FREE Phone Calls to the U.S. and Canada (and a few other international destinations.   You can even give your family and friends a U.S. phone number that rings into our home).   Are you or your friends/loved ones on Skype - you can connect with tham for FREE also!!

BEDROOMS/SUITES   -   Most Rooms/Suites have 2 Twin beds that can push together to make into a King (with a STRONG strap around it so you don't separate) & a foam/memory foam pad over the top (you can even choose to have a softer foam pad on 1 side and a firmer bed on the other side if you desire [have you ever slept in beds in Latin America?   As a travel agent and writer, MOST I've found and experienced were hard as a rock - NOT what what my back likes so we've taken YOUR comfort iinto consideration!!]!); tranquil Fountain; CD/Cassette BoomBox; Dimmer Switch (for ambiance); Night Lite (so you don't get confused in the middle of the night); Candle Holder; plenty of Pillows (some soft, some harder); a Table and 2 Chairs; a DeadBolt Lock on the door plus a closet lock (bring your own small padlock or borrow one of ours); LOTS of Closet Space and Hangers; Baskets for you to put your goodies in for easy transporting to the bathroom.   You can borrow a Clock Radio if you need that.

Keeping with that "Details" theme - BATHROOMS even have Dimmer Switches and our Showers are big enough for 2+ (except one) and have GOOD water flow, LOTS of Hot Water and Good Shower Heads that you can adjust for the pressure YOU like.  We even provide Liquid Antibiotic Body Soap and a decent Shampoo/Conditioner dispenser.   With YOUR comfort and safety in mind, we even thought of Rug Mats & mats in the shower so you don't go slipping and sliding on the tile floors.   And we provide decent quality Bath Towels, Hand Towels AND Wash Cloths & shelves for you to store your goodies (helping to add to that "I'm home" feeling!!).   

Guests receive one FREE 10 minute spin on our amazing MASSAGE CHAIR (it even does your calves!!)!!   

KITCHEN   -    You're welcome to bring in your own food & prepare your own meals (just clean up well after yourself) in our VERY FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN (including Juicers, Rice Cookers, Slow Cookers, Food Dehydrator and more!)!!   You'll have your own cupboard area in our Pantry to store your goodies.   LAUNDRY services is available (inquire for prices).   PARKING is available as is STORAGE if you come for a shopping spree or if you're traveling around CR & don't want to schlep everything with you!

SAFE   -   We have a communal safe where you can store your passport, $, etc. BUT each room has a keyed lock on the door plus a padlock on the closet door so bring your own padlock or borrow one of ours.   We do require a $30 fully refundable Key Fee (sometimes they get lost).

We also have a Shared Hostel-style Room on SPECIAL now for just $20/1 (but someone else MAY be in the bed next to you!) or $35/2  [$15/1, $30/2 with NO breakfast/your towels, etc.])

We have Wonderful Associates to assist you for Body Work/Massage (starting as low as $30 for a Session!!), Yoga, Facials, EFT, Counseling, Drivers/Guides+!

Costa Rica is eco-tourism at it's BEST which includes quite rusticy (including most properties), as mentioned, MANY bad roads hence more challenging to get around, not much "gay" (though "Tico's" [what they call themselves] are welcoming of ALL people), limited on the great restaurant choices.

It can also be a WONDERFUL "Chill Vacation" (especially at The Fountains Guesthouse!!)
